The weather was excellent, cloudy sky, vivid nature. It took 3.5 hours car driving distance from Kuala Lumpur. We started our journey from Melaka, stayed in KL 1 day at my friends' house. On the next day, we started the journey to Cameron.
We stayed at Peony Apartment in Cameron. In front of the apartment, there is a tea garden. This apartment shot I took from the tea garden.
On a family tour, it is difficult to carry a bigger camera with a big lens, but I love my Fujifilm X-T2 Camera with XF 16–55 F/2.8 lens. The reason its total weight is 1.1 KG which is still okay to carry all day on the shoulder strap.
Carrying a high-quality zoom lens is also important to take shots based on the situation. Last time I used to carry a prime lens, and it was troublesome to change the lens for unfamiliar situation.
Fujifilm X series camera’s default kit lens XF 18–55 is also good and sometimes you can not differentiate the image quality between the kit lens and high-quality XF 16–55 F/2.8 lens.
But If you take close-up shots like the following shots, then XF 16–55 F/2.8 lens performs way better. At 55mm focal length and 2.8 aperture, you can take beautiful closeup shots like flowers to make the shallower depth of field.
You can not capture this kind of sharp shots by the kit 18–55 lens.
Overall, I really love my Fujifilm X-T2 Camera with XF 16–55 F/2.8 lens for general purpose and vacation. I also recently bought Canon G7X II to carry at the time when a bigger camera is difficult to carry.
This camera setup is best to take landscape, portrait, and close-up shots.
